Embracing Slow

At the beginning of 2018, Steph and I made the decision to slow down.  We knew this would mean focusing on the things we love and learning to say no.  Both of these proved to be a challenge because we are passionate about a lot of things and saying no isn’t easy.

As we dreamed and planned we held firm to growing our business slowly and thoughtfully, and that meant saying no to our own ideas - a lot!  We are grateful for everyone who invited us to partner with them this year. If we said no to you, it is not a reflection of you but of who we want to be - slowly made.

Thank you to all our faithful followers.  We saw you at events and pop-ups all year. Connecting with you is the best part of Made Collective, and we want to do more of that in the new year.

Made Collective started as an online shop with the intention of opening a brick and mortar store here in Sarnia, ON.  Steph and I have decided not do that yet. We love the freedom of creating unique events in different locations in Sarnia-Lambton and plan to continue that in 2019.  Now that we don’t have to fill a whole store with goods, we have decided to reduce the number of goods we sell and focus our collection on a few everyday essentials for the home, as well as small batch seasonal products.  This means we are having our first annual end of season sale!  Items we will no longer be carrying will be on sale starting December 26th.

2019 is going to be an exciting year for Made Collective, and we can’t wait to share it all with you so stay tuned!

Thank you for an amazing 2018!  Steph and I wish you a wonderful holiday season and the very best for 2019!
