Sashiko embroidery uses small running stitches to make beautiful designs. The word Sashiko literally means “little stabs.” Sashiko dates back to 17th century Japan and was used to repair and reinforce clothes. Traditionally the Sashiko is stitched on indigo blue fabric with white thread. 

This kit provides everything you need to learn Sashiko and start mending and repairing your own clothes.

Each kit includes:

  • Sashiko needle
  • White Sashiko thread
  • Thimble
  • 3 pieces of printed fabric
